As you can tell from these frames, Alexander McQueen is a risk taking controversialist. His designs have given him the title of the ‘bad boy of fashion.’ His elegant designs and luxurious style reputation exceeds him and quite rightly as McQueen has become iconic amongst designers everywhere.
True to his style, McQueen has designed some coloured flamboyant frames which command attention where ever they go. Oval shaped lenses and butterflied winged frames make for a plush combo which guarantees to lift your eyes and brighten your face.
Cleverly the designers at McQueen have chosen Autumn colours for their frames which warm your face and create heated hues. Instead of block the whole frame with one colour, the design chosen is two tone translucent clear and maroon purple on the one frame. The maroon to clear transition is smoothed by the light blue spray to soften the contrast. And on the other? Burnt orange and the same translucent clear middle. Daring? Yes. But can McQueen carry it off? Yes. Although I will advise you to choose wisely. These are extremely elegant frames but I would say appeal to those ladies who like class as well as quirk.
Finishing off the frames perfectly is the Gold embossed Alexander McQueen name. This wavy edged frame has been seen across designer ranges a lot recently proving its popularity and success. Such frames include the Prada butterfly and the Marc Jacobs 134’s.
Perfectly delicate stems are very in keeping with this carefully shaped frame, keeping the level of class to the upmost top level expected with this designer name.

Following the aviator designer suit is these perfectly formed 4148’s from Alexander McQueen.
Establishing themselves as a brand which isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of modern fashion and be a bit risqué with their designs is why we love Mr Alexander McQueen. Controversial design and striking colour and patterns in his runway shows grabbed our attention and interest from the beginning. Moving onto producing sunglasses intrigued us to just how far McQueen could go with his imagination.
Being the son of a taxi driver bought up in East London wouldn’t ordinarily lend itself to a future as a designer. However, against the odds, McQueen went on to be one of the youngest designers to achieve ‘British design of the Year.’
I am personally blown away by these sunglasses. They just absolutely ooze class and luxury. Crafted from only the best materials and it shows. The sheer excellence of the carefully curved teardrop lenses, accentuated by the thicker deep Ruthen brow bar absolutely spill class. Naturally, the lenses are grey gradient, the height of current trend.
Giving it the defining designers touch is the unconventional, yet so McQueen detailing. Lightly tinted wood look panels are incorporated into the stems. Deep black against the light wooden stems give an innovative class without being ostentatious.
See yourself holidaying in Miami, rubbing shoulders with the celeb elite? Not to worry, these stunning frames will stand you in good stead for mingling with the stars.
