Bjorn Borg Sunglasses
The Heritage
Björn Borg the athlete changed the face of tennis and sports for that matter. As Boris Becker put it 'Borg was the first popstar in tennis'. Of the 157 grand slam matches, Borg lost only 16. The world was shocked when in 1983, he bowed out. At 26 years of age and 10 years at the top, Borg's passion and energy for the game had depleted. A loss at Wimbledon after a glorious stretch of five victories, was perhaps what sealed a fate that was already set for the superstar.
The Brand
Today Björn Borg is a Swedish owned brand, inspired by the sporting heritage of it's namesake. Trading since the eighties, the name has been associated with distinctive eyewear and underwear. Ever fresh and on trend the brand finds it's place in new generations whilst a faithful fan-base continues to seek it's character and quality.
