Cate Blanchett suffered a head injury last month during a live performance of A Streetcar Named Desire at The Sydney Theatre Company.

The Aussie was reportedly injured by a prop radio thrown by fellow cast member Joel Edgerton, which hit the back of her head. She soldiered on 30 seconds afterwards before running off stage.

'Cate Blanchett was accidentally struck on the head by a prop. She sustained a minor injury but felt fine soon afterwards,’ Sydney Theatre manager Rob Brookman told the Brisbane times.

‘Unfortunately it was necessary to cancel the rest of that performance. Cate is fine and tonight's performance will go ahead as planned.’
