Robert Pattinson, who was yesterday voted the Sexiest Man in the World, is seen wearing a pair of the most sought after shades in the world, the Ray Ban Wayfarer.

If you've been lucky enough to attend a festival lately then you'd have undoubtedly noticed that every other person among thousands of festival goers was sporting the widely coveted Ray Ban Wayfarer, or at least something similar. Aside from the Aviator, we can't remember the last time that we observed such a wide spread of a single sunglass model, an almighty spread that began just a couple of years ago. Despite Ray Ban having cleverly updated the Wayfarer with colour, giving an all time classic a sense of freshness, Robert Pattinson and the rest of the Twilight cast continue to don the frames meandering curves in Gloss and Matte Black.

The Wayfarer was initially given status by one of the most influential fashion icons of the 20th century, Audrey Hepburn, who showed off the 1950s model in all its glory in Breakfast at Tiffany's. 1962. Since then, the Wayfarer has been on a cyclical cycle and we can only wonder whether or not we'll be looking back at a then young Robert Pattinson in 50 years time and crediting him and many others for the Wayfarers recycled success, or will we finally give praise to Ray Ban for creating an undying breed of eyewear that should be recognised for its own merit rather than its celebrity cult following, which some might argue is what has powered the Wayfarer through 5 decades of fashion.

UK Glamour readers have voted Twilight actor Robert Pattinson the Sexiest Man Alive. The British actor, who plays sultry Edward Cullen in the Twilight film series, was voted in front of Brad Pitt and Johnny Depp. David Beckham and Colin Firth, who are also British, made the top ten.

Meanwhile, a source has told Star magazine that after meeting Robert Pattinson on the New York set of Remember Me, his latest project, Kirsten Dunst has become infatuated with the sexy actor's rugged good looks and thinks he would make an ideal boyfriend.

'Kirsten is absolutely infatuated with him and thinks he would be the ideal boyfriend.' Says the source.

'She's been sending Rob a barrage of flirty texts, letting him know she is very interested in getting to know him better — whenever and wherever he wants.'

But Kirsten Dunst's spokesman says, 'She doesn't even have Robert Pattinson's number nor does he have hers.'

Kirsten Dunst isn't the only Hollywood actress rumoured to be desperate for a little bit of R-Patz, as he is now commonly known, Jennifer Love Hewitt recently said she'd pass out if she ever got the chance to meet him.

'I'd pass out' she told MTV News at 2009's Comic-Con in San Diego. 'I can't talk about it, 'cause I'd pass out.'
