Cutler and Gross

With a heritage thats spans over 40 years, Cutler and Gross have been a major part of turning glasses from medical necessity, to a style accessory. Based in Knightsbridge, Graham Cutler and Tony Gross began to build their eyewear empire in 1971 where they’ve gradually built a reputation for creating eyewear than reflected flair, fused with functionality. A client base that transcends all ages, industries and backgrounds, Cutler and Gross draw their inspiration from a plethora of subjects. Music, art, fashion, finance, journalism and design all play a big part in shaping the Cutler and Gross eyewear collections. Cutler and Gross design with the individual in mind, not their profession with the unique capacity to evoke imagination and timeless style.

Internationally cited as the underground cool brand of eyewear, Cutler and Gross have worked with many a celebrity and designer. Danni Minogue is a fan of their cat eyed frames, whilst Tinie Tempah sported their classic black framed specs at the Brit Awards 2011, where he scooped awards for ‘Breakthrough Act’ and #Best Single’. Delving into their extensive archive, Paloma Faith picked out a 1984 model from the Cutler and Gross vintage boutique. Designers established and up and coming turn to Cutler and Gross when it comes to accessorising their collections come Fashion Week. Whether it be Lond, Paris, New York or Milan, Cutler and Gross are there and with their eclectic but extensive range of directional sunglasses they demonstrate their knowledge of fashion. Just ask designer of the moment, Holly Futon who collaborated with Cutler and Gross on her SS11 collection.

The Cutler and Gross sunglasses collection boasts a range of distinctly original hand-built frames that have helped to move opticals towards a luxury fashion sphere. Cutler and Gross don’t rely on in your face branding, and never will do. Their range of quietly beautiful eyewear holds a timeless style that continues to stand the test of time in the style stakes.
