Protection from Ultraviolet rays on the slopes cannot be overstated – the risk of damaging your eyes is much greater in the snow than in any other outdoors environment. Most snow resorts are way above sea level, a mile or two & as we rise in altitude & the atmosphere thins there is significantly less filtration of radiation. Due to the reflective nature of snow, up to 85% of the UV radiation can be reflected off snow, resulting in an effective UV dose that is over 4 times that at sea level!! Inadequate eye protection can result in severe discomfort and damage to the eyes.

Double Lens: creates a thermal barrier between the two lenses which helps prevent fogging. The majority of Bollé lenses are ‘soft’ & will flex on impact, so, very safe to wear.

Gore All Weather Equalizer Technology: allows air to flow between the double lenses thus maintaining perfect optics at any altitude. Available in all double lens goggles.

Flo-tech: process of controlling the flow of air through the goggle and thus reducing fogging.

P-80 coating: applied to the inside of all goggle lenses to help prevent fogging.

Rx-ability: This series of inserts allows the user to fit their prescription into a wide range of Bollé goggles.

High contrast lens, good for low/flat light conditions. Improves vision considerably by making everything brighter.

Citrus - Transitional lens between Amber and Yellow, good in all ski conditions.

Gun Flash - Similar to a sunglass lens with the additional benefit of a vermilion base for extra perception in flat light. Excellent for sunny conditions.

Modulator - Light sensitive vermilion or citrus lens that automatically lightens & darkens depending on how bright it is. Men’s Fitness Innovations Award Winner 2005.

Miscellaneous Tips:
• If moisture gets on the inside of the lens never wipe it off (this will remove the P-80 coating) always shake out the snow and the moisture will dissipate on the lens.
• Never use chemical cleaners to clean the lens. It will remove the anti-fog coating.
• Don’t use after market no-fog solutions on the goggle lenses unless the anti-fog coating has been already removed with glass cleaner.
