Electric Goggles
It was over a decade ago that Electric, the Californian brand that means premium sunglasses, snow goggles and accessories, first sparked into life. That iconic Electric volt logo is now globally recognised and defines Electric as a brand and all the sunglasses, goggles and accessories that it’s attached to.
But what other logo could there be for a brand named Electric? Founded in San Clemente, CA in January 2000, Kip Arnette, Bruce Beach and Mike Carter set about building a brand that they could be proud of while having fun. It was their original mission and still holds today.
Electric is also proud to introduce its Rider Inspired Design Series, where lovers of all things snow and surf and sun will find patterns, embellishments and colours unique to the Electric team of professional riders. If you love and know all things Electric, you’ll love this collection of uniquely personal goggles.
There’s more. Surf legends Luke Egan, Matt Hoy, Dave Rastovich, and Ozzie Wright have been Electric since the start, so too have snow legends Peter Line and Axel Pauporte. Snowboard X-Games Gold Medalists Andreas Wiig, Jamie Anderson, and freestyle skier Tanner Rainville lead the snow team. Skateboarder and Jackass Bam Margera made Electric a household name and NASCAR superstar Kyle “Rowdy” Busch has been with Electric since he was NASCAR Rookie of the Year in 2005.
The first Electric sunglasses and goggles were shown to the world at the SIA Snow Show in Las Vegas in 2000; the first three sunglasses came in July and the snow goggles the week before Christmas. The story of Electric had started.
Over the last decade Electric has produced some of the most unique and innovative designs in the sunglasses and snow goggle market. Electric’s high voltage sunglasses styles are team inspired and reflect the attitude and personalities of today’s youth culture. Electric snow goggles are world-renowned for their high level of quality and unmatched performance in the snow.
That’s why the Electric pro team is so strong. Bringing the team together to design goggles is a compliment to a group of riders who have done so much together.
In January 2008 Electric was acquired by Volcom, officially making Electric part of the Volcom family. Today Electric is a global leader in eyewear and operates as a stand-alone brand, with full support from Volcom to maximize the full potential of the Electric brand.
