BOB

From a Nirvana-esque designer scruff, to the VB inspired 'pob', short and snappy styles are having a resurge. Strong framework will look hot against a devil may care bob, whilst glossy and oversized will keep the groomed neat, with not a hair out of place in the style stakes.

THE RULES

• Opt for a strong framework if you're bob is more Worzel Gummidge, than Katie Holmes. The strong shape of the shade will contrast well with a softer, more 'organic' hair style.

• If your bob has 'bangs' (that's 'fringe' to us Brits) then make sure that there's a gap between the sunglass' brow bar and the hair line for a seamless finish. An overlap is not cool.

• Cat-eyed frames look wicked when hair is short, sharp and blunt. Fact.

• Aviators are difficult to pull off with an angular cut such as the bob as is can drag features down. Proceed with caution.

• Asymmetrical cuts with thinned out and feathered end will prosper from oversized, 70s inspired designs. Make sure you opt for a gradient lens though to keep things casual.
