Beyonce and husband Jay–Z appear in Look Magazine 9th May with some killer shades. Retro is the word for Jay-Z and Beyonce. Jay-Z is yet again sporting the superb Persol 0649 in black. Jay-Z never fails to make an impact in this iconic sunglass, not that he needs to with Bey on his arm. The wife has also worn the folding version of this sunglass in jazzy tortoiseshell.

On this occasion Beyonce wears a round retro styled frame similar to the gorgeous Ralph Lauren 8071. In tartan and houndstooth you can really make your mark on the trend.

The Persol 0649 and 0714 were also a favourite of screen icon Steve McQueen. A style icon too, these Persols were always his first choice. Like his famous flicks they are also now timeless.

Retro styling in eyewear has been hot for some time, but is really coming out to play for summer 2011. This celeb couple hit the nail on the head. An old school frame like 0649 provides great inspiration to new styles.
