Wiggo Claims SPOTY Award

After such a memorable year, choosing the BBC Sports Personality of The Year wasn't going to be easy. But in the end it was Bradley Wiggins emerged as the winner of the coveted prize. He did it in emphatic fashion too, claiming a 30.25 per cent share of the 1,626,718 total votes.

Style icon "Wiggo" looked the part as he stepped up to collect the award from the Duchess of Cambridge. The Oakley eyewear athlete donned a navy crushed velvet suit-- A far cry from the lycra and race-ready Oakley sunglasses he wore en route to the Tour de France and Olympic time trial titles.
