Bootleggers Get Kicked

Websites selling counterfeit Oakley sunglasses were shut down on 28th November by US authorities as part of a bid to stop the circulation of fake goods as the festive season approaches.

The announcement that 150 website domain names had been seized by US authorities was made as eager shoppers prepared for the biggest online shopping day of the year, dubbed "Cyber Monday".

This huge operation, known as "Operation In Our Sites", allowed American agents to intercept the websites posing as consumers and buy the products before checking with Oakley whether the products were official.

Fake Oakley sunglasses, or "Foakley's", are on the rise so this latest effort is welcome news for shoppers everywhere.

We at Sunglasses Shop can only imagine what they call their knock-off sunnies, maybe instead of the they have the Toadjacket, or perhaps instead of the Oakley Pit Bull Gunmetal FMJ OO9127-03 the bootleggers stock the Poodle. We could go on all day...
