With the US having one of the widest pools of talent in skiing and snowboarding, the Oakley stars selected have certainly had to work hard for their place.

Oakley's Gretchen Bleiler was named in the women's Half-Pipe Pro Team, and Oakley ski duo Alex Schlopy and Sammy Carlson made the cut for the Freeskiing Slopestyle Pro Team. Elsewhere, Schlopy and Carlson's Oakley team-mate Simon Dumont was selected for the Freeskiing Half-Pipe pro team.

An exciting season will gather pace over the next few months as the Oakley athletes will be tested at competitions such as the Sprint US Grand Prix, X-Games, Dew Tour and TTR World Championships.

It is thought that with impressive performances, the athletes from this season's US team will have a strong chance of making the 2014 Olympic squad.
