Dungey Dominant
Ryan Dungey's has really been firing on all cylinders this month. Three wins from the last three have seen Dungey climb to the top of the AMA Motocross standings. His latest victory came at Budds Creek on 16th June, and served to underline his title ambitions.
Budds Creek always represents a challenge for even the most talented riders out there. It didn't pose too many problems for Oakley star Dungey. The man from Minnesota looked confident throughout as he finished ahead of second-placed Broc Tickle. A battling Mike Alessi performance was enough to see him take the final podium spot.

Riders donning Oakley sunglasses and Oakley MX Goggles have been totally dominant this season. James Stewart kicked things off in the season's opener in the Hangtown Classic on 20th May. Stewart then doubled up with another win in the next race at the Freestone Raceway. Injury forced Stewart out of the race at Thunder Valley, where Dungey secured his first season win.
With the season still young, Dungey can't afford to get too settled at the top. James Stewart always seems to come back stronger from injury. However, Dungey can be satisfied with the 236 points he has. It sees him 54 points ahead of nearest rival Mike Alessi, who has 182 points from five races. Jake Weimer is currently third on 179 points. James Stewart, meanwhile, sits seventh with 116 points. Dungey's lead is an impressive one so far, but there are still more twists and turns to come...
