The picture doesn’t do them justice. These sunglasses are screaming from every corner of the track …sleek, look at me!

1. Hydrophobic lens: This isn’t just your average anti-smear lens. No no, the specially coated Hydrophilic lens not only prevents water and oil from marring your vision, it actually can not smear! Leaving you with 100% clear vision despite the weather. As an extra BONUS (special), the special dual lens also eliminates static, so dust and dirt will not stick and disrupt your vision,
2. Inter-changeable lens: Stay one step ahead by changing your lenses to suit you. This is great, it ensure you maximise performance and can adapt to fit any situation the elements may throw at you. Of course, HDO’s (High Definition Optics) come as standard.
3. Custom creation: Oakleys creation UNOBOTANIUM (although the name may leave you baffled) is a material which ensures a comfortable, secure fit. Coupled with custom fit nose pads, your RADAR’s are customised to fit you. And if you don’t already know, Oakleys ‘3 point fit’ is a specialised fit which ensured comfort is provided in 3 key areas, with no room for error!
4. Maximum comfort: As if that wasn’t enough, further comfort is provided with the lightweight O-MATTER, which comprises the frames and pure PLUTONITE lenses which ensure total clarity and impact protection.

There’s something about the shape of these sunglasses that attracted me like a moth to flame. Such robust impact contrasted with soft curves. Shield sunglasses have a distinct advantage over rimmed as extend your peripheral viewpoint. This makes them great for sports players as provides a clear unobstructed view, allowing you to be more aware as you cycle. Essentially, the sides are completely covered from dirt dust impact, such a plus for cyclists, and they surpass ANSI Z87.1 standards for clarity and light refraction.

DUAL lens design

The real pluses for me are the snug fit from the hydrophilic rubber round the bridge and surge ports on the stems. This gives an aerodynamic feel when I’m cycling and also helps cool me down. Its great.

RADARS have really hit the nail on the head for cyclists

RADAR XL are aptly named because of their large lenses and an extended 7mm between the nose bridge and top of the frame to expand view. Initially, the XL were manufactured in accordance with cyclists wishes. The same problem was always re-occurring in that athletes view is restricted when they put their head down, view was restricted.

If you’re more into your helmet sports, Id say go for the RADAR XL Straight Blades. They don’t include the air pockets and have slightly straighter stems to slide between your ear and helmet like dream. The colours will take your breath away.

Woah….. It doesn’t matter what your reaction is to these limited editions. Its all good! Yes they’re shocking, make a huge impact and a lasting impression. Luckily it doesn’t end there, not only does the colour take your breath away, it fulfils other purposes too. The radio-active green finish or ‘anti-freeze,’ is an experience which has been developed solely for the limited edition so cant be found on any other RADAR. But Oakley didn’t stop there, coupling the frames with JADE IRIDIUM lenses, a development Oakley have been working on for years! There’s no question, off all the limited editions, this really is something extra special.
