Oakley X Squared

Oakley X-squared is for stylish men and athletes. With this design you can step out knowing all eyes will be on you. These sunglasses are guaranteed to turn heads with their sleek, cutting-edge appearance. The rectangular frame is clean-cut with occasional twists for a sharp and aggressive appearance. This sunglass is definitely not for the faint hearted. Coloured lenses are encased with X Metal, a material exclusive to Oakley. It’s extremely light in weight, but is very strong and easily sculptured. Unobtainium material covers the steam tips and nose brow to increase grip, even with perspiration. These sunglasses come in a whole array of colours. Choose from carbon with a blue lens, black all over, grey with a red lens, grey with a black frame, grey with a black lens or silver with a red lens.

The lenses on this frame are made from Plutonite, which banishes 100 percent of all damaging UV rays and blue light up to 400nm away. They also have a Hydrophobic/Oleophobic coating that allows oil, lotions and water to run straight off without so much as a smudge. XYZ Optics allows you to maintain the best possible vision at every possible angle, weather you’re lying on the beach or running along.

This sunglass also provides greater protection at either side through the 8.75 lens curvature. These sunnies gently wrap around the edge of your face so you can combat the sun rays from the sides.

If you plan to wear these shades for exercise or driving then you may want to consider purchasing them with a polarised lens. The bright white light that reflects off shiny surfaces such as water or the car bonnet in front of you will be no more because the lenses cut straight through it.

If all that wasn’t enough, each and every model from the collection has an iridium lens coating. This further reduces glare while balancing light transmission. It’s bonded to the lens at a super heat so that it won’t scratch or peel away.

X –Squared

X-Men are a super hero team living in a Marvel Universe… fighting mutants and galactic threats is simply a day in the life. Well I for one wouldn’t mind a snippet of their lives. Well what do you know, here’s my answer.

Say hello to that X-Metal frame technology, same futuristic design and X-Men film style, so what is new with the X-Squared? When it comes to visuals, the X -Squared have got a squared feel (well duh!) hence X- squared I guess. They look almost robotic and futuristic with their distinct rectangular silver metallic feel. So don’t gimme that airy fairy plasticy shady nonsense. I want a mans sunglasses…enter Oakley.

 

X-metal: As you can expect, the height of technology and innovation went into this frame. The x-metal itself is an alloy of 25 metals which have created a frame to fit naturally and comfortably round your temples and nose bridge, and It looks smart too.

The X-Squared look and feel like they mean business. The metal is robust. There’s no breaking it. No seriously. And they aren’t coming off your face either. Unobotanium ear sock grips increase grip with perspiration so if you want a hard work out, go for it.

If you want to look fierce and striking, go for the fire iridium lenses. This burning orange and reds are warming and cleverly contrasted by the cool metal sleek frames. These don’t mess with me I’m the man kind of sunnies are standing up for what they believe in, and wont stop till they conquer all.

You can’t fault Oakley when it comes to outstanding design features and innovation. Team your X-Squared with any day to evening outfit, and great for sports too. Perfect. And who says we can’t multitask?!

Lens technology

Running in the rain? Tennis in the rain? Raining down pub? No problem. The specially designed lenses have a hydrophobic coating. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Repels water, oil and skin oils so you won get smudges or blurrs screwing up your vision.

Lenses are made form pure Plutonite, which is Oakleys answer to the best vision a sunglass could offer. The High Definition Optics (HDO’s) make sure you have the clearest, sharpest vision from behind the lens. The back of the lens is even coated with an anti reflective coating so objects behind you will not obstruct the vision in front of you.

Time and a place

I was hooked on Juliet and now I’m hooked on X-Squared. Well what can I say, like to have the latest and greatest style and there’s not many things I buy for me. So, you know, I deserve it! (God I sound like a low rate L’Oreal advert…lame).

So we’re X-Squared fans, we love the strong metallic outline which shapes your face with a definite shape and style statement. If you ask me you can totally wear them whenever to whatever. Who cares when you look this good? (Well I never said modesty was my strong point!)

Dent your wallet?

Well yeah, for most of us this is a substantial spend. Ok so they’re pricy. But they will last you an absolute lifetime. Don’t feel like you have to mother them, they’re sturdy and built to last and well worth saving up for. Think of your X-Squared as a treat yourself investment rather than a splurge (only women do that anyway, we never buy something unless we mean it!!)!

Colours and frame design

Not that I’m usually one to be picky on colours, but boys and their toys and all that… I want to get the best ones possible. So for me, it’s the Polished Carbon Black Iridium Polarised. They are the absolute mint. They look expensive, feel expensive and…well yeah they are a little expensive, but you get what you pay for….the latest and greatest in Oakley technology and style. I’m in.
