Ray Ban's Remasters Event
Last night, Ray Ban got the party started at New York City's Bowery Ballroom, with the first of 3 in your face concerts to celebrate the re-launch of the iconic Ray Ban Clubmaster.
The concerts will feature some of today's freshest talent from the contemporary music scene. Musicians like FI based pop group, Black Kids, sultry London based all girl brand, Ipso Facto and devoted hardcore pop artist White Williams, who were all challenged to reinterpret their favourite 50s and 60s tracks that would represent the re-launch of the Ray Ban Clubmaster.
A marketing director from the eyewear giant behind the re-launch says, 'Ray-Ban is a brand that believes the best thing you can be is yourself,'
'Rock is where fun, fresh personalities gravitate and Ray-Ban has always had a strong relationship with rock n'' roll. Musicians are passionate about the brand because they find it credible and full of possibilities.'
Adding, 'For Remasters we wanted to go back to the fifties to reinterpret the Clubmaster because it was an age of great cultural change, energy, good will and hope and we wanted to bring that freshness and happiness into today''s marketplace,'
Remasters will be taken worldwide as follow up concerts will be performed in both Beijing and Milan. Ray Ban hope the Clubmaster's new colour ways will generate sales like those of the original Wayfarer, which resurfaced back in 2006.
