Gustav Larsson, Bio.

Born: 20th September 1980
Home: Gemla, Sweden

Despite being six-foot four inches tall, Gustav Larsson has a nimble quality that belies his large frame. The Swedish star is very much a force in cycling right now, and consistently makes the podium at the big events.

When it comes to time trials, Larsson is particularly effective. One of the more recent examples of this came in the 2012 Paris-Nice stage one time trial. He defied the slippery conditions to finish ahead of Bradley Wiggins, finishing in an impressive 11min 19sec. In 2001, budding star Larsson made a huge splash by finishing 2nd in Sweden's national Championship.

Larsson doesn't get intimidated on the world stage either. In the 2010 Giro D'Italia, he swept past the competition to win Stage 21, the final stage on the prestigious tour. He narrowly missed out on Olympic gold medal in 2008, finishing behind Oakley legend Fabian Cancellara.
