Timo Pritzel, Bio

Born: 29th April, 1977

Home: Berlin, Germany

Timo Pritzel has evolved from BMX pro to dirt pro, to team coach, to businessman with his own line of clothing.

He was German dirt champion in 1998 and 2000, also taking the world high jump record of 5.10 metres. A year later, in 2001, he was German Street Champion and made another world record long jump of six cars.

When he was 17 Timo did not want to continue school or work so he wrote a letter to a BMX magazine asking for a host family to stay in the States for one year and Race BMX. He found a family in Las Vegas and a race sponsor , which made it possible to travel to all the races in the states. When he came back he worked for a while as a postman – still riding a bike of course – which got him motivated to turn his passion into his career. Shortly after his postal job Timo became World BMX Dirt Champion.
