Eric Koston, Bio.
Born: 29th April 1975
Home: Los Angeles, California
Ask most aspiring pros about their favourite skateboarders, and one man's name crops up more than most. Eric Koston. Since turning pro in 1993, Koston has innovated and, at times slammed, his way to the top of the tree. And he's nowhere near done yet.
Oakley man Koston is Thai/American, having been born in Bangkok, but he grew up in San Bernardino, California. He began skateboarding in 1986, and has seemingly never looked back. At contests, his smooth style and appetite for handrails have made a king. Between 1996 and 2008, Koston was one of the world's best competitive riders. But it isn't all gold medals and champagne for Koston though. He's always saved his best for when the cameras are rolling.
Some of his best video appearances include one of our favourites, "the invisible board section" on Girl Skateboard's "Yeah Right". He even starred in a quick cameo with Hollywood a-lister Owen Wilson. Not bad.
Favourite Frame
Eric Koston has been snapped numerous times donning Oakley Frogskins. It isn't difficult to see why...
