Lisa Norden, Bio.

Few athletes can claim to be as determined as Lisa Norden. The steely Swede has stood firm against setbacks and battled her way to the top of the triathlon world. But she isn't about to lean on her previous victories. Instead, Her driven approach means she's focused on extending her dominance even further.

In 2012, with her Oakley sunglasses in tow, Norden became world champion. That's quite a feat in itself, but the way Norden claimed victory is unlikely to be matched. The morning before the showdown in Auckland, Norden had discharged herself from hospital. She had been struck down with food poisoning, almost certainly ruling her out for the finals. However, with an anti-nausea injection, Norden battled to fourth place to claim the ITU World Championship title.

Norden's 2012 triumph wasn't exactly unexpected. Way back in 2007, the Oakley starlet underlined her abilities by winning the ITU World U23 Championships. She also has a taste for Olympic success too, having claimed silver at London 2012 in a photo finish.
