Carolina Kluft, Bio.

Born: 2nd February 1983
Home: Sandhult, Sweden

Summing Carolina Kluft up in a few words is tough. But the words "possibly the greatest all-round female athlete ever" offer a good start. The Swede has very few rivals who can claim to have excelled in the way she has.

You name it, Kluft dominates it. As a heptathlon champion, she's honed her skills across so many events. Make no mistake though, "Caro" isn't a jack of all trades. She wins at pretty much everything she enters too. Take a look at her glittering heptathlon record, which includes her record of 19 events undefeated in a row between July 2001 and September 2007.

Kluft has had an impact that's been felt across the entire sporting world. In fact, 2003 and 2006 saw Kluft named Waterford Crystal European Athlete of The Year (Women). This confirmed her status as a true athletics goddess. The 2006 award was particularly special, marking a stunning run of results that season. The highlight was undoubtedly her European Athletics Championships win in front of her own fans in Gothenburg. At the height of her domination, Kluft shocked the athletic world by quitting heptathlon shortly before the 2008 Olympics. Now, she's decided to dominate long jump and triple jump instead.
