Anna Lindberg, Bio.

Her spell-binding grace in platform diving has made Anna Lindberg one of Europe's top divers. Then again, diving is in the diminutive Swede's blood. She is the daughter of diving legends Ulrika Knape and Mathz Lindberg.

Lindberg's emergence from child prodigy to fully-fledged superstar came almost overnight. She made a splash (ahem) with some terrific performances in the World Junior Championships. Despite her young age, she made her Olympic debut in 1996 whilst she was still eligible at junior level. This didn't prove to be too soon either. She outperformed many of her older peers to take 8th place in the three-metre event.

The European Championships have been where Lindberg has really risen to the occasion. In 2006, Budapest witnessed first hand just what Lindberg could do as she won both the one metre and three metre events. With more surely to come, there's no respite for Lindberg's rivals.
