Julien Regnier-Lafforgue, Bio
Born: 15th February 1979
Home: Savoie, France
Julien Regnier's great influence on skiing sees him frequently called the skier's skier. One of the visionaries involved in the creation of freestyle skiing, Julien helped develop a style of skiing that combined the adventure spirit of skiing with the tricks and jumps found in snowboarding.
Ex-leader of the French mogul team, Julien put an end to his professional skiing career following the Nagano Olympics to concentrate on other projects. As the pioneer of the freeski movement, Julien strives to keep the spirit of freeskiing pure. By designing his own signature twin tip skis, which allow skiers to ski backwards, and producing and editing freeski films he flies the flag for freeskiing which sees the movement continue to thrive.
With all these impressive projects it's almost easy to forget about his incredible talent, but every year he can still be found in the pages of magazines showing off what it was that made him the huge influence he is today.
