Tanner Hall, Bio
Born: 26th October, 1983
Home: Kalispell, Montana
Some people quit at the first hurdle, others don't ever seem to stop. And Tanner Hall is definitely from the latter – from 2001 to 2009, he medalled every single year at the Winter X Games. For those of you still doing the maths, that's nine straight years of success. With a record like that, it's no surprise he's on the Oakley pro ski team.
Tanner's success comes from a focused, aggressive approach to skiing. He runs through his rigorous training schedule with military precision, even carrying his determined attitude over to rehabilitation. Tanner quit the pro scene in 2009 after overshooting a jump at Stevens Pass, Washington and obliterating his knees in a less than graceful landing. But by taking things slowly and methodically, he's back on the skis and focusing on his new love – film-making.
Despite dropping off the face of professional skiing, Tanner Hall remains one of the most decorated freeskiers ever. From the first time he strapped skis to his feet at the young age of 3, Tanner pushed the limits of freeskiing and turned pro three years shy of his eighteenth birthday. Tanner took his skiing in the direction of flair and creativity and today is looked on as one of the forefathers of skiings freestyle movement.
Part entrepreneur, part athlete, Tanner has pushed the boundaries since day one. That's a record that Oakley can totally identify with.
