Wimbledon

We all know Wimbledon is tennis’s leading tournament. It was way back in 1877 that players first stepped out on the grass of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club and the gentleman’s title was won by Spencer Gore (ladies didn’t compete until 1884).

Today little has changed in terms of the rules set out back in 1877. The nets and posts are a different height, the service line is a different distance from the net but the tradition remains. Wimbledon keeps the tradition but one that’s slightly adapted today’s technology for the modern game.

What do You Wear at Wimbledon?

The rules are strict on this. Almost entirely in white and the final decision rests with the referee. But we’re not talking clothing here. How can you enjoy the drama of centre court if you can’t see it?

Check our Wimbledon sunglasses style pages, we think they're ace.
