Oakley Drivers Driven
Loeb's New Challenge
Sebastien Loeb was never going to retire completely. Having scooped his 9th World Rally Championship crown in 2012, the Oakley ace has his sights set on the GT Sprint Series.
Loeb will don Oakley sunglasses behind the wheel of the McLaren MP4-12C, and will represent newly formed Sebastien Loeb Racing. It represents a change of scenery for the ex-Rally hero, and he'll be counting on Oakley's High Definition Optics (HDO) to assist him.
Despite having a packed schedule, the nine-time World Rally Champion will still race in four rallies next season. The chosen four on Loeb's list are Sweden, Monte Carlo, Argentina and his home rally in France. "I couldn't begin to think about missing the Rallye de France," Loeb told The Sun. The Frenchman will turn his attention to the World Touring Car Championships in 2014.

Loeb isn't the only Oakley eyewear athlete gearing up for 2013. Having made an impressive comeback to Formula One last season, Kimi Raikkonen is focused on mounting a title challenge next year. But the flying Finn acknowledges that he needs Lotus to give him a car capable of out-gunning the rest.
"I know the team now, I know the business, so it should be an easier start for us in 2013. First, though, you have to build the car," a typically composed Kimi stated in The Sun. Last season, consistent performances heralded a third-placed finish in the standings. So it's only logical that the Oakley driver wants more. We can't wait for 2013...
